Slow mornings, kind people, and space that feel like home

Kind is a yoga shala, café, and small shop in Varkala, India.
A quiet place to land, move, and meet others.

At Kind, we offer daily yoga classes, and space to slow down. The atmosphere is open, relaxed, and intentional.

We care about presence, honesty, and creating something real — not perfect.
Whether you join us for a class, a coffee under the trees, or come back each season — you’re welcome here.

Though we may look a little far from the cliff on the map, it's just a 15-minute walk—and that gentle distance brings you into a quieter, more peaceful side of Varkala. Surrounded by palm trees and the rhythm of local life, Kind sits in the calm, where the buzz of the seaside fades and the breeze moves through the palms.

🌝 Pawan Ji

Pawan began his yoga journey over 10 years ago in Rishikesh, India. What started as a personal practice during his studies in 2011 became a lifelong path of transformation.

After completing his engineering degree, his devotion to yoga led him to pursue a Master’s in Yoga in 2018. Since then, he has wholeheartedly dedicated his life to this ancient practice.
He began teaching in 2019, leading teacher training programs, group sessions, and online classes during the lockdown.

Pawan Ji’s classes are guided by deep compassion and a profound understanding of anatomy, allowing students to safely and gracefully open their bodies for more advanced asanas. His teaching creates a nurturing space for growth and connection, both on and off the mat.

Nathalie

Nathalie is part of the heart behind Kind, where she welcomes guests, manages communication, and curates the visual identity of the space.

With a background in art direction, she shapes the atmosphere of Kind both online and offline — from the details you see to the feeling you experience.

Her connection to yoga began over ten years ago after an accident, when the practice became a path to healing. Over time, it grew into something deeper — a steady support through life’s changes, and a way to reconnect to herself.

Although she no longer teaches, yoga remains a quiet and essential part of her life. Her journey has taken her across India, studying in places like Rishikesh, Dharamsala, Mumbai, and Goa — experiences that continue to influence her perspective and the way she holds space today, behind the scenes.
