ANANDA room
आनंद
Bathed in soft, natural light from two large windows, the Ananda room welcomes you with an open, airy embrace. Spacious and bright, it invites a sense of freedom and ease, a space where the mind can wander and the spirit can rest.
Though there’s no air conditioning, a gentle fan ensures a cool, comfortable breeze throughout the day and night. Like Soma, it shares access to the kitchen with its espresso machine and tea station, and opens onto the quiet balcony—a peaceful perch for morning reflections or evening calm.
A large private bathroom, fresh linens, towels, and carefully chosen decor complete the sanctuary. Located just a gentle 15-minute walk from the cliff, Ananda offers a luminous retreat, filled with warmth and light, where each new day begins with possibility and peace.
SOMA room
सोम
Tucked quietly at the back of the house, the SOMA room is a serene haven—a place to breathe deeply and slow down. Without air conditioning, the gentle fan whispers softly, while the room’s cool, shaded location invites restful ease.
Just steps away, a spacious private bathroom awaits, and nearby, the kitchen offers the comforting ritual of brewing espresso or tea, a simple joy shared with kindred spirits. The balcony, shared with the Ananda room, opens to soft morning light and quiet evenings, perfect for moments of stillness or gentle conversation.
Adorned with fresh linens, towels, and thoughtful touches, this room is a sanctuary where calm and care meet. A peaceful 15-minute stroll from the cliff, it offers refuge from the buzz of the beach, nestled on a tranquil street where time slows and the heart feels at home.

Frequently asked questions ?
When is the best time to come to Varkala?
The most popular time to visit Varkala is between November and March, when the days are sunny, the sea is calm, and the energy is vibrant with travelers, yoga, and community gatherings.
But we stay open during monsoon season too (June to September), with a slower, more restful rhythm. The rains bring lush greenery, cooler air, and a deeply peaceful atmosphere—perfect for quiet retreats, personal practice, or simply being. If you're looking for stillness and space, it's a beautiful time to be here
How can I reach Varkala?
Varkala is well-connected by both train and air:

Trains run regularly to Varkala Sivagiri Railway Station, which is just a short rickshaw ride from Kind.
We’re happy to help arrange local transport if needed—just let us know your travel plans.
Why do I have to book via Booking.com and the name is slightly different?
At the moment, we’re using Booking.com for all reservations because we haven’t yet built a direct booking system into our website. It helps us stay organized while we grow and ensures your booking is secure and confirmed. Ah yes, the name is different, it’s normal, Pari’s Homestay existed before Kind and again, until we build our next system it was safer that way.
We’re working on making it possible to book directly through the site soon—but until then, thank you for your patience and support!
